Emily R. Manz (Send Mail)
Director
Emily is responsible for managing PNJ’s many activities, including organizational development, educational programming, policy formation and advocacy, and community outreach, among other tasks. Manz brings a wealth of experience and education in urban planning, heritage tourism, and economic development in New Jersey to her role. Emily is also the President of EMI Strategy, a firm specializing in events and marketing that drive commerce in downtown districts and Have You Met Newark, a tour company specializing in historic walking tours, food tours, and custom experiences. She is passionate about preservation’s role in improving quality of life in New Jersey and history’s way of helping us understand our own individual and global stories.
Doug Harbit (Send Mail)
Development Director
Doug is responsible for helping inspire individuals, companies, agencies, and philanthropic donors to support PNJ’s programs. He has extensive experience in both historic preservation and charitable fundraising having worked for national, state-wide, and local nonprofit groups for more than 30 years. He believes that by telling the full story of American history, current and future generations can build a more sustainable, inclusive, and stronger foundation for our society.
Dale Perry (Send Mail)
Office Manager
Dale has served as the PNJ Office Manager since 2015. She is responsible for maintaining the membership database and general mailing list, as well as ensuring all donors are acknowledged for their support of PNJ. In addition to other administrative functions, she screens all telephone inquiries and provides the information to appropriate board members for response. Since 2008, Dale has been a member of the group established to restore and reuse the 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing.
