About the event
Join Preservation New Jersey at our Annual Meeting for an evening of networking, tour and presentation on the T. Thomas Fortune House, and updates on PNJ activities this past year. The Meeting will be held at the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center.
T. Thomas Fortune House was built in the mid-19th century and was the home of Timothy Thomas Fortune (1856–1928), a leading African-American journalist and civil rights advocate, from 1901 to 1908. The T. Thomas Fortune House was listed on PNJ's 10 Most Endangered Historic Sites list in 2007. The Site was restored and reopened as a cultural center.
